YMPO is an undergraduate organization dedicated to broadening the horizons of Yale students interested in medicine. Members gain deep insight into the medical world through various shadowing/mentorship experiences with professionals and graduate students of all fields. We also help prepare students for future medical school applications through numerous healthcare events and provide detailed resources.

Shadowing
Members learn about medicine directly from professionals by shadowing physician-mentors or residents in their working environment
Mentorship
Our annual mentoring program connects our members with graduate students at the Yale School of Medicine, School of Public Health, School of Nursing, and Physician Associate Program
Pre-Med Resources
YMPO provides a wide range of pre-med resources including
podcasts, coursework/study resources, volunteer opportunities, and local/international outreach
Healthcare Events
Acting as an umbrella organization for health-related clubs/events, YMPO hosts year-round healthcare events such as bazarrs, panel discussions, speaker events, and more
