Yale Medical Professions Outreach

YMPO Logo 2.png

YMPO is an undergraduate organization dedicated to broadening the horizons of Yale students interested in medicine. Members have opportunities to learn about medicine directly from professionals by shadowing physician-mentors or residents in their working environment. Students can also learn about health-related issues through speaker events and panel discussions. Event topics include medically-related volunteer opportunities, conversations with doctors from a variety of specialties, and local and international outreach work. Additionally, we understand the importance of teamwork in medicine and work to foster a community of future doctors and leaders of the medical field through our annual mentoring program that connects our members with dedicated medical students at the Yale School of Medicine, School of Public Health, School of Nursing, and Physician Associate Program.
